Topology Layer Configuration

This page allows you to customize your topology layer and set your workspace settings. A topology layer is a collection of required features for creating a topology. Cadastral Mapping Configuration requires a polygon feature and a linear feature. There is also an optional node feature. These are collection features containing a primary feature and annotation sub-features.

Type a name for the new topology layer, features category, and workspaces, or use the defaults. Alternatively, you can select an existing topology layer, feature category, and workspaces found in the seed file.

The project name should be changed with each new schema being created by the Wizard. If it is not, the shared XML files for Dialogs and Menus will be overwritten by the new schema with the same name and cause errors while accessing any DGNs developed under the previous schema

Note: The recommendation for methods and operations is to keep the Workspace entry, which is the default workspace used when starting Cadastral Mapping Configuration. Changing the workspace name when using an existing schema will result in a new workspace name being created and exported with new operations and methods for the original features, thus potentially causing errors.
